Pipsograd River
Pipsograd, spring 2002Harnessing the power of gravity, an engineering team led by Anna, Jovana and Nevena, created a circulating waterflow for Pipsograd's town river, "Reka Bez Kraja". A cistern (held aloft in the first picture below) fed a scenic waterfall on a specially created hill. The river then flowed through the town and under the bridge that allowed peeps, but not cars, to cross to the protected forest on one riverbank. Further down the river Pipsograd residents could relax at the town beach. Human powered refills helped return water back to the cistern.
